Zipper Interactive Closing It’s Doors

Published On March 30, 2012 | By Matthew Pettit | Uncategorized

Zipper Interactive, the creator of the SOCOM: U.S Navy SEALS series for Sony has been shut down today. Damien reported on a rumor floating around that the studio was supposedly in rough waters last week. Hearing that this rumor came true was a damn shame. The studio may still be around in some form or another, supporting its recent releases or it may be taken over by another Sony dev, who knows.

MAG had been the recent Zipper game and needless to say, it didn’t do that well on the PS3. I wish that they were able to keep on making SOCOM games as I thoroughly enjoyed all of them (with the exception of SOCOM 4 since I haven’t played it). Let’s hope that all of the casualties at Zipper Interactive land on their feet. I hear @fourzerotwo, former Infinity Ward Creative Strategist, is looking for some help with… something
