Reminder: Xenoblade Chronicles comes out this week

Man, this game looks NICE.

If you were part of the movement known as Operation Rainfall, then you know how much fighting was involved in getting Xenoblade released in the US. For those of you who haven’t been following this story, Nintendo of America had listed Xenoblade on their site for ages before claiming that there “[were] no plans to bring [Xenoblade and two other highly anticipated JRPGs] to the Americas at this time” on their official Facebook page. But eventually, Operation Rainfall finally succeeded in their attempts, and Xenoblade will be exclusively carried by GameStop in the US as Xenoblade Chronicles.

The reason you should buy this game goes way beyond a good battle system and an interesting setting. It’s all about proving to Nintendo that games that might cater to fans can turn a profit, even with a limited release. We’re looking at a change in the publisher/fan relationship and it’s up to us to show the power of dedicated fan dollars. I mean, come on, do you want publishers like EA running things forever? No? Well then go buy Xenoblade Chronicles when it comes out on April 6th.
