E3 2012: Xbox Sports Coming Soon to Xbox 360

Published On June 6, 2012 | By Matthew Pettit | Uncategorized

Microsoft has steadily been getting into TV programming on their Xbox 360. Not only that, but they’ve also been making some partnerships on the sports front. These partnerships will be known as Xbox Sports to consumers and it’s coming soon. Here are the details:

ESPN and UFC have been on the Xbox for awhile as well as MLB.TV but coming soon are apps for NHL GameCenter LIVE and NBA Game Time. These apps will let you watch all the hockey and basketball you want from the comfort of your own home, as long as you have a 360. A subscription will be needed unless those channels are already included with your cable provider, so it’s free to an extent I suppose.

Great news for the console as Microsoft is still trying to secure TV partnerships even if the next generation is right around the corner. The Xbox 360 isn’t done for yet as seen in the E3 Microsoft media briefing. Stay tuned to Velocity Gamer for more news on whats coming next for Xbox.
