Arcade games on Xbox LIVE have always been a favorite of mine. I really like the pick up and play nature of the games on there, not to mention the classics that also make up the huge catolog.
The Summer of Arcade is a chance for Microsoft to showcase some of the biggest arcade games they’ve got coming out to make up for the video game dry season.
The promotion starts of on July 18th with Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD and will end August 15th with Dust: An Elysian Tale. Here is the list of all the games and their dates with prices:
- Hybrid: August 8th for $15 (1200 MSP)
- Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD: July 18th for $15 (1200 MSP)
- Wreckateer: July 15th for $10 (800 MSP)
- Dust: An Eylsian Tale: August 15th for $15 (1200 MSP)
- Deadlight: August 1st for $15 (1200 MSP)
If you nab at least 3 of those, Microsoft will give you 400 points back ($5). The line-up is pretty strong but if you don’t have a Kinect, you won’t be able to pick up Wrecketeer. Tony Hawk takes the cake in my case but I did get to try the beta for Hybrid and that is a fun game once you get used to it.
