Ubisoft Finds Production Company For Assassins Creed Film

Published On October 22, 2012 | By Brad Rose | News

This past summer we learned that Ubisoft was going to be making Assassin’s Creed  into a feature film. We’ve now learned that Ubisoft has taken a step towards production of the film by choosing a company to work with. New Regency Productions, which names Fight Club, Free Willy and Mr. and Mrs. Smith among its works, will partner with Ubisoft on the film, beginning with the development of a screenplay.

It was also reported that Michael Fassbender is to star in the adaptation of the film, so you’ll might be relieved to hear that the deal was expedited by the attachment of Fassbender to the project. There isn’t word on the just how much the studio is giving Ubisoft to work with but if I was a betting man I’d guess the budget will be fairly high.
