The Wii U Gets The “Pro Controller”, An Alternative For The Hardcore Titles

Published On June 4, 2012 | By SouderRoney | Uncategorized

Granted, the Wii U GamePad is pretty out there, in terms of embracing the new gaming front, but what about those hardcore traditional titles that will undoubtedly be off-loading on to the Wii U? Doesn’t the whole controller-with-a-screen seem too awkward to use for button-mashing? Well, rest assured, Nintendo seems to have put all that into consideration for you – a neat little “Pro Crontoller” was announced earlier at the pre-E3 Nintendo Direct conference, and boy, does it look slick.

This useful tool is pretty much just a smooth standard controller, quite akin to the Xbox 360′s. It has no touch screen, and pretty much everything you’d find on a standard game controller – four shoulder buttons, two analogue sticks, four face buttons, and a little USB slot in the top. I can only assume that will be used for charging it, but you never know what else we may find.
