The Secret World Nearing Release

Published On June 18, 2012 | By | Uncategorized

Few games have ever caught my attention as much as this one has, and it’s purely because of the concept.  An MMO that was officially announced over five years ago, The Secret World is a game that focuses less on leveling and more on the world and the missions therein, similar to the general idea of Guild Wars, where leveling is set off to the side to make way for the adventure.

The artwork and the trailers are the things that grabbed me, though.  A slide and ladder one would find on a children’s playground is occupied by a giant cloaked wraith.  A girl drinking a soda calmly comes face-to-face with an ogre-like monster.  And a man in the bathroom relieves himself next to a writhing monster.  What a strange place.

Yet it’s strange enough to totally hype me for it.  $49.99 is all it takes to preorder and receive a free thirty days of playtime, whereupon you can decide for yourself if you want to shell out $15.00 a month for it.
