The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: Hearthfire Expansion Announced and Dated

Published On August 28, 2012 | By Matthew Pettit | News, Videos, Xbox 360

Skyrim has already had an expansion pack released but it’s refreshing to know that another is on the way if you haven’t finished the first. Dawnguard was a single player expansion focused on story while the next one is more of a “for fun” expansion.

Hearthfire will allow gamers to build their own houses in the game. No more buying houses that are too big and too expensive. You’ll also have the option to adopt a child… if you’re in to the whole “playing house” thing. Check it out:

Reminds me of playing Runescape back in the day when they first introduced houses. I see a lot of parallels between the two games as far as skills go and now this. Building a house of my own is an easy sell for me. The way I see it, it’s just one more thing that’ll make Skyrim even more amazing.

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of houses people come up with! Hearthfire will release September 4th on Xbox LIVE. Other platforms are TBA.
