Terraria coming to XBLA and PSN next month

Publisher 505 games have announced via their YouTube channel that the console port of  the highly successful 2D platformer, Terraria, will be launched some time next month.

“Ahead of the release of Terraria on PSN and XBLA next month we’ve got a brand new trailer for you which shows off the new console controls, 4 player split screen (HD only), 8 player multiplayer and all new content that will be launching in-game from day 1.” – 505 Games

Developer Engine Software is taking care of the console version of Re-Logics game and have added a whole host of new features such as:

  • four-player split-screen
  • eight-player online
  • a world map
  • a new tutorial
  • new armor
  • new weapons
  • new pets
  • new enemies
  • a new final boss

Terraria launched back in May 2011 receiving an 83 Metacritic score, and is available now for £5.99 on Steam.
