It’s nearing the end of the week, just one more day to go before the weekend, and this can mean only one thing. A new Steam weekend deal of course. And what do the lovely folks at Valve have in store for us this week? Find out below.
The first discounted offering this week comes via Valve themselves, giving gamers the chance to purchase the latest in the Counter-Strike franchise for only £5.99, a saving of 50%, on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Moreover you can also get your hands on the Counter-Strike Complete pack for £8.49 which includes:

- Counter-Strike: Source – Currently 75% off (£3.49)
- Counter-Strike: Condition Zero – £5.99
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – Currently 50% off (£5.99)
Next up we have Gearbox Software’s brilliant cell shaded, first person shooter, RPG, Borderlands 2. With a heavy 50% discount making the game only £14.99 there is no excuse not to give this humorous game a chance. Oh but don’t just take my word for it, the game currently boasts an outstanding critic score of 89 on Metacritic. Furthermore if you already own the game you have the opportunity to get a digital version of the official Brady strategy guide at half price as well, reducing the cost to a measly £3.49.
Finally this week is today’s Steam daily deal, delivering SuperVillain studios indie tower defense game, Tower Wars. While the game is reduced to only £2.99 be wary before buying it, as it was released to mixed opinions and as such only has a fairly poor critic score of 59 on Metacritic. Although if you don’t want to believe the professionals the user score is a lot better giving the game an average of 7.5.
