Spec Ops: The Line Multiplayer Event Being Streamed LIVE
Spec Ops: The Line is coming out next month. As far as game play demos go and coverage, it’s been pretty scarce. If you watched any of the 2K Game’s PAX East live stream, you’ve seen some single player footage, but what about multiplayer?
There was a trailer for multiplayer released last week but we all know how different a trailer can look from the actual game play. I can say that having been chosen to participate in a closed multiplayer beta for the game in 2010, it’s not misleading at all, everything in that trailer was stuff you could do. For me, though, since it’s been so long, I want to see people playing the game and messing with just about every feature available in the multiplayer before I get super excited about it. Call of Duty XP last year got me psyched for MW3 and live streams of Rockstar community events on GTA IV wet my appetite for big multiplayer gang wars.
2K will be doing something that drops somewhere in between the two events I just described. There will be a live stream on 2K’s Twitch TV channel featuring broadcasters and producers while they bring you direct feeds of gamer’s playing some Spec Ops multiplayer. Those who are in to competitive gaming might get a kick out of it as well as there will be commentators giving play-by-play action. Tune in on May 9th 3-7pm PST to watch the multiplayer event.
