E3 2012: Space is mine(d) in this Miner Wars trailer

It looks like someone about to beat Notch to his “Minecraft in space” idea. A new trailer for Miner Wars 2081 has been released, which can be seen below. It promises a huge open world in which hundreds of simultaneous players can fly spaceships around in order to explore, mine, and do battle with each other. You can even switch from first to third person if you fancy staring at some fine spaceship booty. The game look surprisingly good for an indie project, and it’s coming out on PC in early 2013.
