Sega Unleashes Creepy New Trailer For Aliens: Colonial Marines
The Alien series has, for some time, been on the list for inclusion of my favourite films. As with any property, you hate to see it take a turn for the worse, as has happened with Ridley Scott’s venerated creation of late, what with the abhorrent Alien vs Predator films to say nothing of Rebellion’s game. Keeping this in mind, I’ve had reservations about Gearbox’s upcoming take on the series Aliens: Colonial Marines, which is to be set in the period between the second and third films and revolve around a group of marines looking for series protagonist Ellen Ripley on the U.S.S Sulaco. However, if the latest Contact trailer is any indication, it may just turn out to be an interesting, worthwhile entry into the series. Check it out for yourself:
This trailer, while probably not indicative of the entirety of the game, strongly features cues from the films, maintaining much of the atmosphere of what has been found therein. Based on this alone, I’m cautiously optimistic for this one. Leave your thoughts on the trailer below.
The game currently has no solid release date, but is expected to launch later this year and will be available on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, 3DS and Wii U.
