Reveal Date For Next Call of Duty Set
We’ve officially known it was coming since Activision’s earnings report for 2011. Before then, we all assumed that a new Call of Duty would be hitting in 2012 and that it would be developed by Treyarch. The rumours have been swirling for quite some time that it would be Black Ops 2, while some sources hinted at a working title of Project Iron Wolf. Whatever the case is, we are now truly on the road to finding out for certain where we will be taken for the next adventure.
Last week, Michael reported that a poster had been leaked showing a date of May 2, leading many to speculate that that was the date that the lid will be lifted, and while it wasn’t far off the mark, things just got real. Logging on to the official Call of Duty site today, you are met with a massive banner declaring that the world premiere for the highly anticipated game will come on the first of May, during the NBL Playoffs on TNT. That’s right, the answers and truths will begin to come to light in just a little over a week, so hang on tight boys and girls, it’s time for the hype machine to kick into overdrive once again.
Let’s just hope that Activision and EA can keep at least an air of decorum after the downright childish back-and-forth between Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 last year.
