Prepare To Die Content Coming To Console’s Dark Souls

Almost a full year after the original release and a petition by fans, FROM Software’s devilishly difficult Dark Souls will be coming to the PC, packed with additional content as the Prepare to Die edition. I don’t think too many people that played it when it first released were clamouring for this content to be made available for them, but that is exactly what is happening. On the PS3 and Xbox 360, it will be called Artorias of the Abyss. It will include all of the content of the PC version, including weapons, enemies (both bosses and standard), NPCs, armour and a whole new set of areas to explore.

Dark Souls: Prepare To Die edition for the PC will be available from August 24, from Steam and Games for Windows in America, while it will be getting a retail release in Europe and Australia on the same date. The console versions will also be getting a rerelease in Europe and Oceania sometime later in the year, very likely after the release of the DLC, for which a date has not yet been nailed down. We really liked Dark Souls, and so more content will definitely be appreciated.
