Looking for something to play next year? Perhaps a new MMO? Well look no further, well that is if your a fan of Sega’s Phantasy Star series as Phantasy Star Online 2 appears to be set for a release sometime in early 2013 in both North America and Europe. The game recently launched in Japan this past week and Sega is asking westerners to remain patient for the game to arrive over here.

According to Satoshi Sakai, producer of the game, the wait will be well worth it:

“The number one thing we want to provide players in Phantasy Star Online 2 is an adventure that changes every time they log in. Just as great table-top RPG experiences revolve around imaginative and unexpected encounters, we want players to consistently be surprised as they explore dungeons and undertake quests.”
