No More Euro-Pinin’ for Persona 4 Arena
When Persona 4 Arena was released way back in August of 2012, I was (ironically) traveling around Europe, so I missed all the controversy regarding the oft-delayed European release. Seven whole months have passed since it was localized for North America, and I have since been made aware just how badly half of the world wants to play this game.
It appears that Zen United – the company that localized the main series BlazBlue games for the PAL region – finally has some news for those affected. Persona 4 Arena has been sent off to Microsoft Europe for certification. Although Zen doesn’t have a release date locked, the official Persona Europe Facebook page said “a May release date” was “realistic”. They’ve also been talking about giving the fans a nice bonus to reward them for their patience, but there’s no word on what exactly that is yet.
Joshu’s Persona 4 Arena review was highly favorable, but I don’t completely agree with his writeup. Even though I adore the Persona 4 writing team, the story mode of P4A desperately needs an editor, and the online is unplayable. The best framerate I got when playing online was probably about 20 FPS, and my connection is pretty good. Still, if you’re a Persona diehard, this game is still worth a look, and I’m glad my European friends have a chance to decide for themselves.

Finally Europe will get to enjoy a decent fighting game. I mean this isn't KOF or SFIV but it's decent.
