Of Orcs and Men summer trailer looks sufficiently green
If you’ve ever stopped and wondered about the human element of generic fantasy baddies like orcs and goblins, developers Spiders and Cyanide have a game they think you might like. Of Orcs and Men, with the combined developing power of the creators of the Game of Thrones RPG and Sherlock Holmes adventure games behind it, is still set to deliver a unique RPG experience as you slaughter humans through the eyes of our much-hated green-skin foes.
As you can see, your actions as the warrior Arkail and the stealthy Styx will (sadly) be justified as tales of desperate resistance against a growing threat. Of course, that narrative in of itself, while not terribly unique, will be refreshing to see from the perspective of a former enemy. The presence of some humans in league with our unlikely duo was also pleasantly surprising. I mean, we’re not all bad? Right? Right?
We don’t have much information on how it will all come together in terms of general gameplay and combat, but it does look exciting. We can expect to see more as we close in on its release date in September, but for those of you looking to find out more about the lore, the Of Orcs and Men website has exactly what you need. Is anyone here excited by the alternate take on this type of story?
