Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection 2 News
If you’re still playing MW3 like I am and have been wondering when the next DLC would be coming out, you’re in luck. I just downloaded the latest two drops, the multiplayer maps Sanctuary and Foundation, so it comes as a surprise that the second content collection is almost here.
The pack will feature the two drops mentioned above along with another multiplayer map, Oasis, and two new spec ops missions, Iron Clad and Killswitch. Also new to the game will be a new multiplayer mode, Faceoff.
This mode is head-to-head 2v2 and 1v1 death matches played on smaller maps specifically built for the game type. To celebrate the new mode, every MW3 player on Xbox LIVE (and PS3 eventually) will get two Faceoff maps for free on May 16th. Two more Faceoff maps will be included in the collection on May 22nd available for premium ELITE members for free and $15 for non-subscribers.
So that’s 3 new maps, two Spec Ops missions, a new multiplayer mode, and 2 Faceoff maps plus the two free ones. Check out the video below to see the full package:
This is the biggest DLC pack released for Call of Duty to date and it beat out the first collection for that spot. You’d be crazy not to get this if you’re still playing. If you want to hang on to that cash for Black Ops 2, though, I’m sure Activision wouldn’t mind.
Also, If you heard about the resignation of Robert Bowling, former Community Manager and Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward; have no fear, you now have a new Call of Duty Community Manager. Tina Palacios is the new senior community manager at IW, formerly from IGN Entertainment. If you have any questions or complaints about the game, feel free to ask on Twitter.
If you’re excited for the second collection, sound off in the comments below. Note that this is only for Xbox LIVE at the moment due to an agreement with Activision and Microsoft. PS3 members will most likely get the same treatment next month.
