Metro: Last Light gone from Wii U line-up, oh no!
In a saddening bit of news from Digital Spy, THQ global brand manager Mark Madsen confirmed that Metro: Last Light is no longer set to be a Wii U title.
In his in interview with Digital Spy, Madsen explains that Metro: Last Light for the Wii U is explicitly “not in development,” which may come as a shock to those of us whose hearts fluttered when we saw it in the the system’s third-party game list at last E3.
Madsen pointed out that a port of the game was still a possibility, though developer 4A Games intends to focus on current consoles and the PC.
While the theoretical loss of this grim, post-apocalyptic shooter is painful to behold, the Wii U’s still boasting a pretty strong third-party line-up. We’ll see how this ultimately plays out as we approach this year’s E3. Does this affect anyone’s opinions on how they expect the Wii U will fare?
