Mass Effect 3 Resurgence Pack Announced for Multiplayer

EA and Bioware just announced it’s first multiplayer add-on for Mass Effect 3. If you’ve played any multiplayer so far, you’d know that if you play enough, the unlocks get scarce with the randomness of the packs sold in the store.

To add some more flair to the already addicting multiplayer, Bioware put together the Resurgence pack. Resurgence will add new characters including the Asari Justicar, Krogan Vangaurd, Geth Infiltrator, and Batarian Soldier. On Reddit a few weeks ago, you might remember seeing an image that showed these new characters through a pack unlock and now we know that it’s true.

The pack will also add two new maps: Hydra and Condor. New weapons including a new sniper rifle, the harpoon gun, Geth Plasma SMG, and a new assault rifle. I haven’t even unlocked most of the guns in multiplayer between the N7 guns being awarded for weekend challenges and my bad luck with spectre packs. Resurgence will hit your respective marketplaces on April 10th. PS3 owners in Europe will get it April 11th.

On a side-note, the next community event is starting today at 8pm EST. Operation: Beachhead will grant players with an additional 25% experience points per mission. If you read the screen that pops up when you load up multiplayer, you’ll notice a tease at the Resurgence DLC.
