Linkin Park Teaming up with Medal of Honor: Warfighter

I’d imagine a lot of gamers have a fondness for Linkin Park. While their music doesn’t directly reference games or anything quite like that, it just seems like music you can game with. Cranking it while playing Battlefield, even Medal of Honor is almost the right thing to do.

Like with the 2010 reboot of the Medal of Honor franchise, Linkin Park will be partnering with EA and co. to produce a new Linkin Park single for the game’s soundtrack. 2010′s “The Catalyst” made it’s debut in the first MoH trailer focusing on the Tier 1 operators that the game was based on.

A teaser was released showing off the partnership on Warfighter:

I’m excited to see what comes of this as I actually liked “The Catalyst”. That was back when Linkin Park was going through a bit of a phase, though, but now that they’re mixing their new sounds with some of the older stuff they used to do, this could be good. If you’ve listened to their latest album “Living Things” and the album before that, you’ll notice a huge difference.

Look out for the Medal of Honor: Warfighter trailer featuring Linkin Park’s new song on Velocity Gamer. The game ships on all platforms on October 23rd.
