The Assassin’s Creed franchise has been a little stale for me after the first game. The combat wasn’t spectacular and was really only satisfying the first ten times you got into it. Traversing across rooftops and scaling towers were what sold it for me, but with the second game, I got a little tired of climbing the same buildings over and over again.

Asssassin’s Creed III is now one of my most anticipated of the year, though. The E3 2012 presentations were fantastic even though we saw several,  because they were all different. The game wound up being at almost every press conference. We even got a peek at the Wii U version of the game.

The new trailer released today is a developer walkthrough on one of the game play demos from E3 2012. This will give those who watch a pretty good idea of what our new hero/anti-hero is capable of, what he can do, and who he will be fighting:
