Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix announced for PS3

So Square Enix has finally gotten around to revealing Kingdom Hearts for the current gen console. The bundle will include HD versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts – Re:Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. I know, awesome right?

Final Mix was a re-release, exclusive to Japan, of the first game with extra content that was found in the North American release. Re: Chains of Memories is the HD remake of the PS2 version that was a remake of the original GBA version.  The way it sounds in the Famitsu report is that the previous DS – exclusive 358/2 Days will only feature remade cutscenes with no gameplay. We’ll have to wait for more info on if this is exactly true or not.

This will released in 2013 in Japan but no word yet on if and when it’s coming stateside. I doubt that Square Enix would deny fans in the west this package since the series does have a big following. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more info on this.
