Kinect with Skyrim Later this Month
Ever wanted to actually shout your shouts? Command and trade with your followers without dealing with the menu? Save just by saying it? Manage your inventory without hot keys? Coming later this month in a free update, you’ll be able to do all that and more with over 200 voice commands to be used with Kinect.
Bethesda released a video today showing off the new commands, a feature that was joked about post-launch. I guess Bethesda either finally caved or Microsoft finally came to a deal with them. Either way, we will now get to shout “FUS RO DAH” and not look crazy for doing it, well, maybe not, but at least it’ll actually do something now. Here’s a description posted with the video:
In addition to Dragon Shouts, the Kinect for Xbox 360 integration offers voice commands throughout the game including Hotkey Equipping, Follower Commands, and all Menus (Items, Magic, Map, Barter, Container, Favorites, and Skills). With Voice Commands, quickly create and load saves during gameplay and access menus and inventories. Skyrim’s Kinect for Xbox 360 Support also adds new functionality including special map functions, additional hotkey options, and the ability to sort inventory items by name, weight, and value.
Inventory management! Woohoo! Now here’s the video:
