It Is That Time Of Year Folks, Time For ReveLAtions 2012
The time has arrived, boys and girls, for another one of the west coast tournaments for fighting games. With EVO come and gone, the other tournaments are emerging from the shadows to prepare our combatants for the fight that is to come this upcoming year. The next tournament that will prepare our warriors for battle is ReveLAtions, which will take place August 17 – 19th in the beautiful Santa Monica, California.
Registrations fees are cheap compared to other fighting tournaments, yet you still gain the skills and strategy necessary to hone your ability to fight on in the battlefield that is fighting games. Spectator fees are as less as $10, so you could be watching the sweat pouring of the combatants as they fight for the prize: $50,000. That’s a lotta moola!
The games that will be featured at ReveLAtions 2012 are the following: Street Fighter IV: 2012 Edition, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition, King of Fighters 13, Blaz Blue Continuum Shift II, Street Fighter x Tekken, Skull Girls, and Super Smash Bros. Many of these games were also featured at EVO, so it will be interesting to see who reigns supreme at this tournament.
A special guest will also be present at this tournament. This group of individuals has made their fame helping players who are new to the fighting game scheme put their foot in the door by teaching them different strategies that could be used. They are most well known for their character spotlights on a show called “Assist Me!” featuring an obnoxiously loud, freeloading, Wesker-hating, X-23-chasing, yogurt-loving Doctor Doom. This group is the “Assist Me!” crew and with their leader Maximilian, they will be hosting at panel at ReveLAtions. Check out their channel here: “Assist Me!“.
