Is People Can Fly working on the next Gears of War? Epic says yes!

Capps sounds excited.

I like People Can Fly. From what I’ve seen of Painkiller, they know how to make an excellent retro shooter. Even Bulletstorm looks like a lot of cheesy fun, and I plan to give it a shot eventually. It looks like their old-school shooter design will be put to the test with their latest project; a new Gears of War game.

Although a few outlets called this from the word ‘go’, the president of Epic Games Mike Capps (unrelated to Andy, the master of hot fries) enthusiastically confirmed that People Can Fly would be involved on his Twitter early this morning. The extent of their involvement isn’t known at this time, although I’ve reached out to Epic for comment.

We’ll probably know more once Microsoft’s E3 press conference starts. This will be the first year anyone from Velocity Gamer has been at the show in person, so we’ll be able to give you guys even better coverage!
