Insomniac Says Goodbye to ‘Resistance’ Series
Insomniac knows that Resistance is one of their biggest money-makers (though, maybe not with the latest installment.) Even so, the studio has decided to drop the series.
Ted Price, head of the company, released a statement about the decision, saying that the series has “reached its logical conclusion in terms of the story we wanted to tell.” Also in the statement, Price reveals that the series will live on, but it will be in the hands of Nihilistic, who are set to release Resistance: Burning Skies for the Vita. This is a big move for Insomniac! Obviously, it will allow them to focus more on games like Overstrike, or any other projects they have planned. The repercussions of this decision have yet to be seen, but I feel like Insomniac knows what they want, and how they’re going to achieve it.

So, what do you think of Insomniac’s move? Do you think that the series will live on, or is the upcoming Vita title the last remnants? Let me know in the comment section below!
