Ether looks to be hauntingly beautiful

Fans of first-person adventure games and/or Inception are likely to enjoy this little gem: Ether, an indie adventure game taking place in someone’s miiiiind!

The plot apparently takes place in an alternate history Earth where people with psychic gifts are used to cure those with mental disease and illnesses. In the case of one such “restorer”, he becomes trapped in the mind of a mysterious client, and must find a way out without losing himself in the process.

If you’re feeling very BOOOOHHHHMMM-Inceptioney, this beautiful trailer definitely won’t help:

I’m very much in love with the design style developer White Paper Games has decided to adopt. Regarding the questions of framerate in those first few shots, that’s apparently the product of video issues rather than a sign of poor optimization. Expect more news on this as it comes; is anyone else interested?
