Rock Band Blitz doesn’t come out until next week, August 29th, but you can enter for a chance to win the game on the game’s Facebook page. I suggest you do so if you’re interested as I have acquired a review copy and while I can’t go into fine detail, I can tell you that it’s a blast.
What is Rock Band Blitz? It’s Rock Band without those peripherals, just your controller. The game comes pre-loaded with 25 tracks that can be used in your Rock Band library and vice versa. There are separate instrument tracks on screen that have notes that race down and you’ll have to press a button on your controller in order to hit the note. The catch is that you must switch between the tracks to earn power-ups and multiplayers to increase your score. The really cool thing is that you’re racing the person in front of you on the leader boards to the end of the song.
