E3 2012: Wii U To Get Rid Of Friend Codes, Miiverse Takes Over

To just keep it short and sweet - unlike the previous consoles, the Wii U will not be using friend codes anymore. Miiverse will be the new way to connect with friends on the console, using online accounts on the platform and swapping usernames to get gamers on to your friends list. This glorious news was just received today by a reporter at GameTrailers.com, namely Shane Shatterfield:
