E3 2012: Castlevania: Mirror of Fate Gameplay Footage Slices Into View

Very cloak-and-dagger, wouldn't you say?

Of course, anyone who’s played the Castlevania series before knows that the Belmont clan are undoubtedly synonymous with the franchise, all jumping into blade-swinging action and putting Dracula back into the shadows, where he belongs. But in the handheld games, you haven’t always necessarily been aware of this, which is something Nintendo wants to bring back with their new entry in the series coming on to the Nintendo 3DS.

A recently released trailer throws us into complete awe of the game, with a number of cutscenes, talk about heroic ancestry and defeating evil, and well, you know; everything that comes with Castlevania. There’s some quite impressive art design, and a slight glimpse of in-game footage right at the end, revealing a few intimidating bosses and tons of action. As I said, it’s only a slight glimpse, albeit a good one. Check out the trailer below:
