Cube World: New Indie Game
Love the look of Minecraft? But feel as if there is something missing, like a robust randomly generated quest system? Also, do you love the Legend of Zelda? Well, Cube World, in development by a person named Wollay, has managed to combine the Voxel look of Minecraft, with the RPG elements that seems to be reminiscent of Zelda games. Not only that, but it seems to have an absolutely adorable anime look to the characters you can play as.
The game is still in development phases, and has had quite a bit of work done to it, currently, not too much is known about the game itself, but feel free to check out Wollay’s Blog, here. Cube World has quite a bit of creation and hack n’ slash that some players may love. As far as I know, there is Multiplayer, weapon and armor enhancing via the use of “Spirit Cubes”, architecture, and special attacks against the various mobs that appear in the world.
Cube World seems to be working out to become another great indie hit like Minecraft, but also seems to be adding quite a bit to the formula, generating a game that is almost entirely its own. Check out the trailer below!
Cube world looks like an awesome game that can be fun in LANs, or even (hopefully) on large player servers. There seems to be a lot more to this game than I have stated before, and it just seems to continue to expand. From its custom weapon creation, randomly generated quests, multiple different weapons, including dual wielding, and also a decently wide variety of mobs, I am personally excited for this game, and hope that I can continue to provide more info on Cube World. Stay tuned!
