Call of Duty: Caveman Warfare announced (April Fools)
By now, you’ve probably realized the cultural boredom that gamers are experiencing with modern-day shooters. At this point, they’ve pretty much been done to death. That’s why Treyarch are putting a new twist on the FPS genre with Call of Duty: Caveman Warfare. The U.S. army has even released an advertisement to promote the upcoming release:
The game will be set in prehistoric times and will feature both a single-player campaign as well as the usual multi-player features. Although the game will take place during the Paleolithic Era, Treyarch said that the inclusion of dinosaurs was necessary in order to create vehicle sections and create a more epic scope. The weapons include various assortments of sticks, rocks, torches, and spears, with primitive scopes and red-dot sights for each.
Without spoiling too much about the plot of the campaign, it will revolve around a protagonist named Uh *Guttural sound*, who is part of the Food Gathering Task Force for the Hung-gung tripe. You’re tasked with retrieving a powerful boulder before it falls into enemy hands.
You can check out a preview of the game below. Caveman Warfare comes out on LOLvember 49th, 2012.
