Buy a Windows PC and Get an Xbox For Free Until September

Microsoft started doing a promotion last year that would net you a free Xbox if you bought a Windows 7 PC. The catch was that it’s a 4GB model and not every retailer would carry the deal. They’ve done it again this year.

This “deal” isn’t a good enough reason to buy a new computer over. You have to buy one that’s at least $699 to get the $199 4GB Xbox 360 for free.

This is kind of if you’re buying a PC , you may want to cheap in the extra $50 to get that free Xbox if you’re into gaming. This deal is still running and will end on September 8th.

This is actually a good deal

On that same note, Microsoft is also offering a $14.99 upgrade price for Windows 8 Pro if you buy a Windows 7 PC. Last time I checked, all PCs except for Macs have Windows 7 pre-loaded already so if you miss out on the Xbox deal, follow the instructions HERE after you buy a new PC.

That deal is good until January 2013, but keep in mind that the release preview for Windows 8 is already out. It’s probably a matter of months before it’s being pre-loaded on PCs which would make this deal obsolete.
