If you were hoping to get an early glimpse at Bungie’s post-Halo game, Destiny, you won’t be seeing any announcements from the company at E3 next week. According to Bungie Blog, the studio confirmed that it will not be present in any “official” capacity.

Destiny is set to be Microsoft’s first next-gen exclusive title. Since Microsoft has announced that it will not be showing off the “Xbox 720” during there conference at E3, it’s safe to assume that we won’t hear anything about Bungie’s game.

What this means for you: no Destiny, no Bungie, and no new console reveal.

Information was recently leaked about Bungie’s unsealed contract with Activision that would put Destiny in a 2013 release date and be part of “Project Destiny”. It would launch a year of “sci-fi fantasy shooters” that would result in numerous DLC packages and possibly a new Marathon title.

How do you feel about Bungie’s absence at E3 2012?
