Bungie Passes the Torch, Releases Halo Stats

As most of you already know, Bungie is now done with Halo. There will be no new Halo games being made by them and their support for the franchise has ceased. Now in control is an internal Microsoft studio, 343 Industries, that put together Halo Waypoint and made the Defiant map pack for Halo: Reach. 343 is picking up the torch with support and coming out with Halo 4 this fall.

A goodbye from Bungie to the Halo Community is bittersweet. Halo gave Bungie over a decade of success that catapulted them into the big hitters of the game industry. I’ve grown fond of the series and can’t wait to see more, but saddened that Bungie won’t be around for whats to come. How do you say goodbye to a community that has followed you for years? Maybe some insane stat tracking will do the trick?
