Borderlands 2 DLC – Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty

Things just keep getting better and better with Borderlands 2. Aside from the game being great, or the fact a new playable class was released in the Mechromancer, Gearbox has now announced the first of four DLC packs for the game. The downloadable expansion, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty, is landing next week on October 16th. Reports are coming in stating that the DLC is set in a new area which features the bandit-occupied slums of Oasis. Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford described the area as a dried-up landscape “more like Tatooine than an ocean.” The Sand Skiff vehicle Pitchford discussed last month also features in the expansion, along with a new currency called “seraph crystals.”

Possible new vehicle? Looks similar to Star Wars in many ways.

Captain Scarlett is the first of four downloadable expansions Gearbox is releasing for Borderlands 2, each priced at $9.99. The Borderlands 2 Season Pass makes all four pieces of DLC accessible when they release for $29.99.

What do you guys think? Are you going to purchase the DLC? Or will you get a season pass to get all of the DLC? Let me know in the comment section below, on twitter or shoot me an email at brad.rose@velocitygamer.com
