Black Ops II – “Revolution” map pack trailer
You knew this was coming, right? If not, I hope you’re enjoying it over there on Mars. A map pack is just around the corner for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, called Revolution, and here’s a trailer for it.
In it, you’ll see various Treyarch staff introduce and talk about the various maps. Let’s do a quick rundown, shall we?
Hydro: This is a dam set in Pakistan. Apparently, floods will occur during the match. Waterslides not included.
Grind: Literally, a skatepark in California. Unfortunately, no skateboards, though the unpredictability of ramps and pipes should be interesting. If only there was a Tony Hawk cameo.
Downhill: Pretty much a ski resort. Lifts will be available, otherwise it’s another snow-themed map.
Mirage: A luxury hotel in China that’s being ravaged by sandstorms. Gosh, we just can’t give foreigners a break, can we? At least the dunes allow for you to climb them, slide down them, or otherwise use them to your advantage.
Die Rise: This one’s actually a zombies map, and it takes place in a skyscraper in the middle east. It should definitely ‘elevate’ the zombies experience. Ha! Get it? Because it’s elevated and there are many levels to it? Bah.
It also includes a new weapon, the Peacekeeper, and a new zombies mode, Turned, which allows you to actually play as a zombie. It’ll be available for the usual 1200 MS Points ($15) on Jan. 29 for Xbox 360 users. Or, if you bought the season pass, you’ll receive it that way. PS3 and PC dates have not been announced because exclusivity.

Excited for this map pack, looking forward to trying it out soon.
