Bioshock Infinite Gets Pushed to Next Year
I really love 2K Game’s Bioshock; it was one of those games that really resonated with me. Playing through it, I thought it was going to be just another FPS, but with the twist that you could shoot stuff out of your hands with science! It turned out that it was much more than that.
The narrative was more than enough to keep me playing and the game play wasn’t too shabby either which made it a fantastic package. I’ve played the game a few times through but I want to continue that type of game with something new.
Rapture was an amazing environment for the first Bioshock. Columbia will be Bioshock Infinite’s Rapture, but I find it so much more interesting, and that says a lot! Unfortunately, we won’t get a chance to explore Ken Levine’s world in Infinite this year because it’s been delayed to February of 2013. The good news is that Levine says that they’re expanding it rather than the normal “we delayed it because we wanted to polish… more”. This game already looks finished, addming more stuff just sweetens the deal.
Here’s what Ken Levine had to say about the delay:
When we announced the release date ofBioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing. Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infiniteinto something even more extraordinary,” the game’s creative director Ken Levine said in a press release announcing the delay this morning. “Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February.
In the meantime, play more of the original Bioshock and Infinite will be here before you know it.
