‘Assassin’s Creed III’ Has Been Announced

It’s official.  The third installment of Ubisoft’s epic, pseudo-historical, action-packed series has just been announced.  In fact, we’ve even got a release date: October 30th, 2012. So, it’s still a ways off, but let me ask you a question:  Is it necessary?

I mean, we’ve only just got over Revelations, and with the way that Ubisoft is using the IP, I’d say that the series is due for a very long holiday after this next installment.  What do you think?  Should Assassin’s Creed III even be coming out this soon, or are you OK with it?  Personally, I’m fine with Ubisoft pushing out more games, as long as the story is good.  Of course, I haven’t played Revelations, but I’d take an Assassin’s Creed game every year over a Call of Duty game, any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.  Let me know what you think in the comments below!
