Aliens: Colonial Marines Delayed…Again

Well unfortunately for us Aliens fans Gearbox has yet again delayed Colonial Marines. Originally slated to ship this spring the game is now set for unconfirmed fall release date. In a statement to Game Informer Gearbox explained part of the reason for the delay.

“Aliens: Colonial Marines is a process of creativity and invention and those don’t necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line.,” “While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don’t want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blue print. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blue print because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritizing this goal over the previously targeted date.”

I remember reading Game Informers first preview of the game all the way back in 2009..8? Ok maybe I don’t remember exactly when, but I still have the article laying around here somewhere. Ah well, as long as the game is polished and true to the series in its aspects of horror and survival I’m all for the extra time on production. Just don’t let it flop Gearbox.
