343 Industries Looks Back at the Halo 4 Unveil at E3 2012
Halo 4 kicked off Microsoft’s press briefing at E3 this year and was probably the biggest announcement out of it. I wouldn’t say the other games/tech that were shown weren’t as awesome, but gamers have been waiting for a new Halo trilogy for awhile.
Bungie is officially done with the Halo series so 343 Industries, a Microsoft studio, picked up the torch. Their main work when Halo: Reach came out and before that were map packs and Halo Waypoint.
Coming off of the HD remix of Halo: Combat Evolved, 343 is creating a whole new trilogy for the Master Chief.
When I saw the single player demo at the press conference, I was looking closely to the enemies the Chief would be fighting. He turned the corner and I saw Covenant and then… something else jumped out!
A Promethean race will be the main force this go around and they look brutal. Take a look at the video below, looking back at the E3 reveal:
Man, I’m pumped even more now. Not sure if it was the music or the game play. My favorite part of that video has to be the guys waiting in line and running to go play the game.
Halo 4 comes out November 6th, 2012 on the Xbox 360. Stay tuned to Velocity Gamer for more news until then.
